I enjoyed every single lasting second of this wedding, knowing it would most certainly be the first and last time I get the privilege of shooting at this historic venue. London city’s Guildhall isn’t somewhere that just any one can marry, though fortunately thanks to family connections, the Harries (Harriett & Harrison) were able to host their wedding breakfast and reception in the East & West Crypts of the building. Shortly before heading over, they tied the knot with a beautiful ceremony at St Verdas Foster Church, just a stone’s throw from the iconic St Paul’s Cathedral. I mean, if you can’t yet see why I will always hold this wedding in such high esteem yet, please read again!
Besides this all being a delightfully unique wedding to capture, it was also a complete and utter joy to be a part of. Sure, being made to feel welcome at a wedding (you would assume) goes without saying – but it doesn’t always happen. Not least, so fondly. However the moment I arrived for the morning prep at the Vintry & Mercer and throughout the rest of the day, Harriett, her Mum & sister, all of her Bridesmaids, Harrison and his MC Pumba, all made me feel like a part of the family and looked after us so incredibly well. I sincerely wish I could do it all again, and kind of wish I’d stayed for more than just two tequila shots, cos I just know it would’ve ended well.
