This Hautbois Hall wedding was the rawkus-ness that I’ve been craving! A real party from start to finish. Arriving alongside my friend Mike, of Mike Savory Films, we started off in the morning on a high. We met Ed at a friend’s house, a former pub actually, where the boys sat down to a full English breakfast. My tummy was rumbling from that moment on, so it’s a good thing I knew I had the pinnacle of wedding catering food to look forward to. That being the Kings known as Florentina. Speaking of which, I got the opportunity to work with some of Norfolk’s most talented wedding suppliers at this shindig. I cannot recommend every one involved enough! You’ll see some links and name drops a little later on in the blog.
Sarah & Ed opted for a traditional Church ceremony at the picturesque Beeston Regis Church near Sheringham. This was actually the same spot they decided to have their engagement session in, which you can have a cheeky scroll of here. Following on from this, we headed back to Hautbois Hall for a party in the rain. I simply adored Sarah & Ed’s willingness to embrace a bit of water on their wedding day. They and a lot of their guests enjoyed their drinks and canapes under the clouds, without a flicker. Not only that, but these guys smashed their day time portraits in the rain too. What more could a photographer ask for?
In return for their optimism, the sun was kind enough to appear for us right around golden hour. This meant that we got those killer sun set shots right in time, just before the party truly kicked off. And when it did, boy was it on fire. People were dancing outside as the sun set. There were drinks aplenty, and arms waving in the air. Seriously, this bunch of people made me feel like I was shooting the first wedding of the season. I came away from their bash with my ears ringining, my feet caning and my heart utterly full.
