What's My Vibe?

I’d describe my style of shooting as pretty laid back, kinda alternative and mostly documentary. A bunch of influences, thrown together. For me, it’s as much about capturing the fleeting, transient bursts of human emotion, as it is about creating really rad portraits of you and your partner. (Oh, and light. It’s also about really good light!) I adore the more unconventional weddings that ignore tradition – couples walking barefoot through fields and not caring about muddying the hem of their dress, Brides giving speeches and Grooms doing the worm, serving paella and street food and wearing colourful suits, having your first dance to Teenage Dirtbag or binning the first dance off all together, and generally just doing things the way you want to do them. That stuff is electric to me.

I’ll always remember to take a nice photo of your shoes, your flowers and all the details you spent time on, cos that matters too, but gimmicks really ain’t my thing. I’d never ask you to say cheese, smile for the camera, to “stop and start that confetti line again,” or even cut the cake (cos that tradition is lame right?). Enough real life is happening on a wedding day, that there’s no need to construct or force it. It should be about what really happened. So I get stuck in to the action, fully immerse myself in the day, and actually get to know your friends. Which is why you’ll always find me on the dance floor come the evening, and if there’s a drink being spilt or a crowd surfing guest, I’ll be right there in the thick of it and ‘avin a laff with you – cos you’ve gotta have fun above all else, right?

FAQ

01.

How do we book you?

All I require to secure your booking is a signed online contract and a £300 deposit, both of which can be done and dusted via email. That way, all of the boring stuff is out of the way , so when we meet, we can just talk about our favourite films and how cute your dog is.

02.

What kind of couple do you work with?

I love working with couples from all walks of life; it keeps things fun! You don't have to be a cool kid or nowt. As long as you can laugh at life, yourself and your partner, then we're gonna get on like a house on fire. And if you're having a wedding that breaks traditions, well - whatchya waiting for, yo?

03.

How far are you willing to travel?

I'm a Norfolk based photographer, so most of my weddings are within the region. However, I'm more than happy to travel across the UK for two lovely folk. I also have a set price package available that includes travel & expenses for weddings outside of East Anglia. Touch base for more info!

04.

How many photos will we receive?

I advise my couples to expect a minimum of 500 images for a full day of shooting. The final figure heavily depends on the amount of segments there are to photograph, and of course, the hours spent shooting! Half days can typically expect around 400 images in total.

05.

Are you insured?

Heck yeah! I'm a full time, professional wedding photographer. It totally comes with the territory to be insured, should the worst ever happen. Which I'm 99.9% it never will!

06.

What is an engagement session?

The pre-wedding engagement session is an opportunity for us to work together before the big day. It gives us a chance to get to know one another, and you guys a chance to get used to being in front of the camera. The snaps also make great Save the Date cards. Bonus!

07.

Do you do wedding albums?

I do indeed. I offer a super simply design up front, with the option to create something bespoke at a smaller or additional cost. Please see my album pricing page for more details.
