Barn Drift is one of those local venues that slips through the fingers of a lot of photographers, partly because they don’t churn out weddings every weekend, making the opportunity to shoot there few and far between. So when I received Kayleigh & Phil’s initial enquiry, I was beaming. Finally, a chance to photograph this beachside venue I’d heard so much about. And when I got there, I understood the hype completely. It really is in the middle of nowhere, with one of the most gorgeous views that the relatively flat county has to offer. These guys were graced with a gorgeously sunny day, too. Haven’t we been lucky with the weather so far this year? Long may it continue well into the balmy summer months.
With a top tier team of suppliers behind them, and a cracking ceilidh band to boot, this was always going to be a great day. It felt easy to me, as a photographer, to just stand back and watch the day roll on. The people were delightful, the drinks were flowing and the setting just got more and more beautiful as the sun went down. Enjoy this jubilee weekend wedding, I know I did!
