Never before have I wanted to be more part of a girl gang than I did with Mary and her Bridesmaids. But, despite what this blog of photos might show you, this day wasn’t actually about them – it was all about Ahmed & Mary (and her glamorous Bridesmaids a close second). As school peers whose history of course goes far back, I loved that one of Ahmed’s best man speeches referred to how he never could have realised these two would end up getting married one day. Yet here they are, so in love, and celebrating one of the most wonderful day of their lives with every one they care for around them. It doesn’t get much better than the simplicity of that, love – and much of it.
The forecast rain on the morning of their wedding meant that an outdoor ceremony by the lake couldn’t go ahead as planned, but it did manage to stay dry despite the looming overcast clouds. A lucky escape indeed, meaning they could spend the majority of their day outside with their guests as they mingled. It felt bloody fantastic to see a return of dancing to weddings again too! Albeit, *puts on a sarcy voice* with no actual dance floor as such and keeping it outdoors. Nevertheless, the vibe was on point.
