One of the many things I love about the couples I meet, is watching their creative minds work. Seeing all the hard work and planning come to fruition. It’s an amazing thing to be a part of. Rachel & Julian really blew me away from the moment I pulled in to Chaucer Barn. Their handmade signs dotted around the venue, self styled floral bouqets and displays, and even a handmade photo booth. So much effort had gone in to this German-New Zealand wedding. It was joyful to be a part of!
I joined the wedding guests for a champagne breakfast at 9am, to the request of Rach & Julian. All of their guests were busy tottering around, putting bits in pieces and things in jars. Sincerely, it was so wonderful to see that this couple’s friends and family cared as much as they did. Their guests were easily some of the nicest people I’ve met in my life, travelling the globe for this international wedding.
It was fab to experience my first wedding in the woodland ceremony area of Chaucer Barn too. This venue is such a versatile space, full of hidden areas and places to explore. Definitely best enjoyed in sunshine, like this beautiful day was. Featuring a father-daughter dance routine, please have some of my highlights…
