Shooting a wedding for the entire weekend long is something I’ve gotten used to when abroad, but something I’m asked to do less of when on my home soil. That is, until Chris & Charlotte found me. And I have to say, being trusted with capturing every aspect of the wedding, from the welcome drinks the night before, the wedding itself, and the pool party the next day, is the way I wish I could photograph every wedding in the future!
These guys had Somerleyton Hall to themselves for 3 days, which is a stateley home just a stone’s throw from where I grew up. I actually used to camp in their woodland (apologies, Lord & Lady) as a teenager. So being able to come through the doors as a 30 year old with my cameras in hand, felt like a pure and full circle moment for me. I couldn’t have asked to be spending the weekend with nicer people, too. I really do mean that. I will always think fondly of Chris & Char. Their generosity and personability, coupled with their silliness and joy, made for two of the loveliest folks I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. You could easily see how they’d gone through life picking up the people they had done, culminating in the celebration of their wedding weekend. It’d hard not to like these two, and to root for them, wholeheartedly.
A massive thank you to the staff at Somerleyton and the crew that helped co-ordinate the wedding. They really looked after me, and that stuff goes an awfully long way to creating the best possible environment for me to do my job in. Here’s all those involved in pullig it off…
