What a wedding! I love it when I walk in to a room for prep, and I’m greeted by nothing but wam & welcoming faces. Sophie, Luke and both their crews made me feel like I belonged from the moment I arrived. It certainly helps that their venue, Butley Priory, is a total delight to shoot in. With big open windows and lovely white wall interiors, you’re never shy of good light in this space.
One of the first things I saw when I entered Bridal prep, was Sophie’s stunning Rue De Seine dress hanging from the bed post. Then she directed me towards her slinky outfit change or the evening, and I knew she’d smashed it out of the park with them both. Luke is a lucky guy! And a wonderful one, at that. He gave me a special thank you during his speech which was followed by a round of applause, and that doesn’t often happen. I definitely had to glug back those tears, I wasn’t going to get emotional in front of all of the guests like a blubbering wreck.
If I could write a book on how to nail a wedding, Sophie & Luke’s attitude and perspective would be referenced throughout. I honestly feel grateful to have been the girl that documented it all. And I only hope I get to see these two again in the future! Get yer Pinterest boards at the ready if you’d consider yourself a Boho couple, because this one will get you plenty of inspiration.
