Wanda + Thomas | Norwich Engagement

When I talk to couples about doing engagement sessions, I love to try and encourage them to make it as true to who they are possible. Otherwise, showing off ring hands to the camera and kissing in front of a photographer feels entirely alien to us all. Wanda and Thomas, avid readers in their spare time, took my advice on board, and we stumbled into a bookshop as we strolled the streets of Norwich one February afternoon. They were also really keen to visit the Cathedral, having never been to this city before. And so, we started our time together by exploring the cloisters and the grounds, and finished it with a cosy coffee in the most perfect spot for people watching. We nattered for a while about the book that Thomas has written, Wanda’s degree(s), and a little bit about their wedding this summer. All in all, it was exactly what I love most about doing engagement shoots with couples. It felt authentic, tapping into their own interests as we shot, and I got to know them beyond the camera. A totally perfect afternoon.
