I can’t tell you just how much benefit comes from doing an engagement session with your photographer. The reason I start Monique and Callum’s wedding blog with such a sentence, is because I first met them on the coast of Sheringham in Norfolk for one engagement session of their own. It was in the build up to their special day, and we came away from it having bonded in a way that makes shooting the wedding day itself an absolute breeze. It’s always the couples that I have these prior experiences with that I’m able to draw the best out of, and that can’t be a coincidence.
Besides having a wonderful rapport with these two, my job was also made easy by the fact this wedding was so effortlessly and beautifully styled by Emily Hardesty. You’ll for sure have some inspo waiting for you within this post, so have your Pinterest at the ready and make some space for disco balls and chess boards (the nod to chess being that Callum plays it competitively, by the way!)
All in all, this was a perfect day that culminated in a perfectly chaotic dance floor, full of smiles, love, action and laughter. Truly a belter, so enjoy.
